Measurement Campaign with Synchronized Distributed Receivers and Mobile Emitter at 3.75 GHz in Urban Scenarios
Research on non-line-of-sight emitter localization relies almost exclusively on simulation data for the evaluation of proposed algorithms. This paper aims to encourage the use of measurements by introducing a setup based on off-the-shelf components that enables 1.5 ns synchronization accuracy and 2 cm ground truth accuracy for multiple distributed receivers and a mobile transmitter. Results from a measurement campaign in a 16 km2 urban area are used to validate the system’s performance.
